Toothache Remedies For People
Who Can’t Get to The Dentist

By:Terry Sandhu

It is always going to be helpful to know a few toothache remedies to ease tooth pain. Virtually everyone will suffer with some degree of toothache pain at some point in their lives.

I have had this problem myself a few times in the past and as you will probably know, toothache is no fun. The simple and most obvious answer is to go and visit the dentist.

Although this may not always be an option due to a number of reasons.

Firstly there is the cost. You don’t need me to tell you how costly going to the dentist can be. If you have no dental cover, or are short of money, then that does not leave you with much of a choice.

The second problem is that the dentist may not be open for business when you need it the most. For some reason everytime I have had a toothache, it seems to be during the holiday season, when the dentist is closed.

Thirdly, and this is mainly true in my case, you may just hate going to the dentist. I went through a bad episode with a dentist when I was younger, and to say that it left a negative impression on me is a massive understatement. Just that weird smell that you get in a dentists almost makes me feel sick.

Fortunately there are some natural remedies for toothache available which can make a real difference to toothache pain.

I have listed some toothache remedies which have given me results when I needed them most.

One of the first things I will use is Oil of Cloves. Your local chemist will have this, and it is not expensive. I put a couple of drops on a bit of cotton wool, and squeeze it on the tooth. The oil is absorbed into the gum. This will enable the nerve under the tooth to become numb, which in turn will decrease the pain.

A simple but sometimes effective toothache remedy is salt. This will work if your toothache is of a mild nature, it will not be that effective if the pain is really bad, but it is worth trying. Get a glass filled with warm water and add some salt to it, then just swish it around your mouth.

Another remedy for toothache is not that appealing, but it is pretty effective. Get a clove of garlic and squash it into a paste. Add a little water to help it mix. You apply the paste to the area where you are getting the pain. Just rub in until it is absorbed. Garlic is a natural antibiotic, and can help with a number of ailments.

There are various other toothache remedies that you can use at home, but I have had the best success with these.

There is the chance that your tooth is so rotten, that the dentist will be the only option. If the damage to your teeth is not that severe, then you should get relief from the pain with the toothache remedies that I have listed. After they have worked for you, make sure that you start taking better care of your teeth, because you really don’t want a repeat of this situation.

Getting to the dentist for tooth pain relief is not always an option for many people. Luckily you can get rid of the pain by using some simple toothache remedies.
